Annual Donor Returns

Part XX of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 requires a person or entity that makes one or more donations to a political party totalling more than the disclosure threshold during a financial year to lodge a donor return. These disclosures must include the details of any donations above the threshold which were received and then used to make donations to a political party.

Returns for financial years that ended after 1 January 2019 are also required to set out the details of individual donations to political campaigners, where the total donations to that political campaigner exceeded the disclosure threshold.

Returns from the 1998-99 financial year onwards are listed.

The Donor Returns tab displays a list of donor returns which can be filtered and sorted based on:

  • Financial year
  • Name
  • Total donations made
  • Total donations received

The Donations Made Details tab displays a list of individual donations. It can be filtered and sorted based on:

  • Financial year
  • Name
  • Who the donation was made to
  • Date of the donation
  • Amount of the donation

Individual returns can be accessed by clicking on the name of the return.

All data shown on the tabs can be exported to Excel. The export will reflect any sorting or filtering applied to the list.
