Associated Entity Returns

Part XX of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 requires all associated entities of political parties to lodge financial disclosure returns on an annual basis.

These returns set out for that financial year:

  • the party/s that the entity is associated with
  • the total value of receipts
  • the details of amounts received above the disclosure threshold
  • the total value of payments
  • the total value of debts as at 30 June
  • the details of debts outstanding as at 30 June that total above the disclosure threshold
  • the details of any capital contributions that the entity has received

Returns for financial years that ended after 1 January 2019 also set out the details of any discretionary benefits that were received from the Commonwealth or a State or Territory in that financial year. Discretionary benefits include grants, contracts, payments or other benefits requiring the exercise of discretion by the Commonwealth or State or Territory.

All associated entity returns from the 1998-99 financial year onwards are listed.

Returns can be filtered and sorted based on:

  • Financial year
  • Associated entity name
  • The party/s that the entity is associated with
  • Total receipts
  • Total payments
  • Total debts
  • Discretionary benefits
  • Capital contributions

Individual returns can be accessed by clicking on the name of the associated entity.

All detailed receipts disclosed on political party, political campaigner and associated entity returns are listed on the Detailed Receipts page.

All data contained in the table can also be exported to Excel. The export will reflect any sorting and filtering applied to the list.
